Dear Families of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Online Academy,
We are saddened to announce that St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Online Academy will not operate for the 2022-23 school year.
After all efforts to continue the program have been exhausted, the Administration of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Online Academy and representatives from the Office of the Superintendent ~ Catholic School Support Services and the Department of Education-Diocese of Brooklyn, have concluded that the online offering cannot continue.
Currently, registration is an average of 5 students per grade level. This does not provide for the dynamic learning experience your child deserves, nor the fiscal viability required. Many families have decided to return to in person Catholic education and we hope to help you do the same.
Since February 2022, the Administrative Team for STACOA has been aggressively recruiting students and it had been our intent to continue online education for families that desired to continue. Unfortunately, we do not now have enough students to continue.
We appreciate your commitment to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Online Academy, we value the experiences we shared, and the opportunity we had to serve your children. As our patron saint St. Thomas Aquinas observed, “Faith has to do with things that are not seen, and hope with things that are not in hand.”
We are happy to help you to register your son or daughter in a Catholic Academy or Parish School within the Diocese of Brooklyn.
Should you have any questions, please reach out to Dr. Haessler via email email@example.com or via cell phone (520-429-1223).
